Fort McMurray, Alberta, Fire Devastation

It is Human Emergency and Rehabilitation Trust (Inc.) understanding that most of people know about fire devastation in Fort McMurray, Alberta Canada. The update says,  the fight against a massive wildfire that grew to 850 square kilometres as of Thursday, burning structures within Fort McMurray city limits, continues. The region’s 88,000 residents have been evacuated and over 1,000 firefighters are battling to protect the northern Alberta community. A large number of people are still stranded in northern Fort McMurray. It is a great human disaster in Canada and the loss may amount to 9 billion dollars.

HEART (www.heartcanada.ca) has been offering help to all communities which are struck by natural disasters. Now it is time to help our fellow Canadians. Already Canadians have donated 30 million in short span of few days. However more help is needed based on the scale of the disaster. On the initiative of HEART members we have already raised a certain amount which will be provided to the Red Cross Canada. We appeal to all to come forward and donate generously towards this purpose. We will arrange tax deductible receipts through Red Cross Canada.

The donations could be transferred to HEART in its TD Bank Canada Account # 0262 5238671  or sent electronically through email to info@heartcanada.ca
